Mens health Course Copenhagen

Mens health Course Copenhagen, here are some pictures and takehomes from a fantastic weekend teaching in the clinic. And a little bit of what is next from my end on education. Thank you to all of you guys flying and driving in; you rock 💙

What I like about this course is the low number of attendees making time for good discussions of technology, science, protocols, and all the difficult things we face in the clinics. 🤔

I enjoyed all the people coming in from the UK, Netherlands, Norway, and Denmark to spend time with me and listen to the concept I have developed for men's health in my clinic. 💪

I am now even more motivated to create a more comprehensive workshop for next time that will be put on another level in practical and theoretical application. 👌

This time, we covered erectile dysfunction, Peyronies, and CPPS as the main topics.

The next one-day course will focus only on erectile dysfunction, with an expanded session on psychological factors and roleplay so that you can handle the talks with the clients even better. And not just be a Top-Gun clinician.
For this one, we will also add more time for doing the ultrasound scanning of the penis so that you can add another skill to your toolbox.

👉👉 The next course will be 11th of May 2024 👈 👈

We need more time for Peyronies, CPPS, and incontinence, so that will be a day on its own. I will start working on a more extensive course so that no one has any doubt about how to handle these cases in the future.

This week, I will also reveal a new project I hope many of you ESWT practitioners will support. It will significantly affect how we look at shockwaves across countries and protocols within men's health. 🚀

Shockwave masterclass Atlanta

❤️ This weekend, the team pulled off a fantastic Masterclass with The Academy of Shockwave Excellence. I am incredibly proud of the team effort, starting with workshops on Thursday and continuing until Sunday.

Here are some of the highlights from my side.
🙌 Forty-three participants for levels 1 and 2, with some of the best engagement I have experienced. The representation of users of different focused shockwave technologies gave rise to some great debate.

💪 The highly practical and hands-on sessions are second to none.

😍 I just had fun teaching shockwave and EMTT, making the complex content simple and understandable for the attendees.

🙏 People who have been working in practice for more than 20 years say it is some of the best education they have ever attended.

"This, by far, was one of the best training and informative classes I have attended in years."

"One of the best trainings I’ve ever attended. Looking forward to the future training."

I am already looking forward to the workshop in April, where we have level 1 and 2 and a workshop on Assessment.
And then there is a little workshop surprise for April that will be announced later this week 😉

Thank you to our Gold Sponsor, Kinas Medical , for supplying the equipment for the workshop.

Shockwave expert meeting mens health

I love what I do around shockwave and the clinic, and yesterday I had a Shockwave expert meeting in mens health.

I brought together some extraordinarily talented people from across Europe, united by a shared vision to explore a holistic approach to shockwave treatments in men's health and diagnostics.

The inspiring views, especially in relation to erectile dysfunction, were provided by two visionary shockwave specialists, a dedicated cardiologist, a passionate urologist and a skilled hematologist. Together, we formed a dynamic team that brought deep insights and innovative perspectives to the table.

This event wasn't just an end of the year; it was a celebration of collaboration, knowledge and a shared vision to improve men's health in a holistic way.

I am deeply grateful that such outstanding individuals as Ai Phi, Eirik, Yves De Vos and Botan participated and helped create a day that marks not only the end of a year, but also the beginning of an exciting journey towards a more healing future. Let's continue this inspiring journey together!

Mens health course Liverpool

I'm back in the clinic after visiting Yves De Vos and Gerard Greene for their Advanced Men's Health course with Venn Healthcare this weekend in Liverpool. They had put together a very sensible course that gave a good introduction to the treatment of erectile dysfunction, pelvic pain and peyronies.

It was a pleasure to speak with the talented gentlemen again, listening throughout the day and having the pleasure of presenting some of the more advanced penile ultrasound scans that I perform in the clinic to the attendees of the Mens health course Liverpool. The scans I perform in the clinic are not seen in many parts of the world, so I hope I may have inspired the participants to make a little more effort to consider ultrasound as an important part of their diagnosis.

It's always great to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones within the pelvic floor health network.

Teaching Barcelona Storz Medical Spain

Back from an incredibly enriching trip to Barcelona, where I engaged in internal training for STORZ Medical Ibérica with their outstanding team.

During our stay, we explored a wide range of options in urology, wound care and orthopedic treatment, diving into how the most optimal results can be achieved through thorough training and a combination of shockwave and EMTT (Electromagnetic Therapy) technologies. These cutting-edge technologies have proven to deliver remarkable results and it was a pleasure to share my knowledge with the dedicated staff at Storz Medical Spain.

In addition, we discussed many other exciting aspects of medical practice and the latest advances in treatment methods. It's clear that the proper application of shockwave technologies can not only improve patient outcomes, but also help optimize the efficiency of medical procedures.

I am deeply grateful for the kind invitation to participate in this educational event and look forward to continued collaboration in the future. Besides the professional aspect, I also had the opportunity to enjoy the charming city of Barcelona and get to know the local cousins, which was extra enjoyable considering the somewhat unstable weather we are currently experiencing in Denmark.

Level 3 masterclass USA

We ran a fantastic extended level 3 masterclass in shockwave combined with ultrasound this weekend for The Academy of Shockwave Excellence with support from Kosmos by EchoNous.

I had the pleasure of teaching the class with Mike from the UK and the dynamic we had with the participants during the different presentations, especially the new casework session, was remarkable.

Usually on courses like this you are given the recipe for the entire treatment, but on this one we gave the ingredients. Participants then had to use their clinical reasoning and knowledge of shockwave to develop a specific plan supported by the instructors.

This improved the learning outcome and took it to a new level in shockwave training, which we as a team are very happy with.

We also integrated ultrasound into the workshop, providing an even greater understanding of anatomy and the application of shockwaves.

It's something I look forward to continuing to work on from a teaching perspective in the future. So again, thank you to Penny Hall, RDCS, and the team for the support and I look forward to continued collaboration in the future.

This also concluded my teaching in the US for this year, which has been truly amazing and I'm looking forward to returning in January for the next Level 1 and 2 courses.

The transition men don’t talk about – erectile dysfunction

Michael Strøm & Manu Sareen - The transition men don't talk about

The transition men don't talk about - Michael's contribution to the book.

I became aware of the transition men don't talk about in the summer of 2022, when I sat and talked to Manu Sareen at a Friday bar, where he talked about one of his new book projects; Men's Menopause.

I, Michael Strøm, have known and treated Manu for many years, and when he asked if I would contribute a chapter on erectile dysfunction and the possibility of shockwave, I naturally said yes. I'm incredibly proud to have contributed as an expert with a chapter where Manu and I talk about even to erection, or rather the lack thereof, to a book that will help thousands of men.

What you as a man can do to get a better erection through exercise, diet, less stress and of course my specialty, shockwave for erectile dysfunction. Read more about the content of the book and the options for examination and treatment of erectile dysfunction further down the page. The book is also available for purchase in the clinic. You can also take tests for erectile dysfunction here

The book - The Transition Men Don't Talk About by Manu Sareen

In midlife, something happens to many men: the usual drive fades, moods darken, bodies soften, sex drive (or ability) changes. These changes can affect our careers and relationships, not to mention our perception of who we are. Yet we rarely talk about menopause in men.

In this interview book, Manu Sareen curiously searches for the explanation for the changes he and other men are experiencing. He seeks out everyone from hormone doctors to psychoanalysts to understand how the body and mind change and what we can do to make this next phase of life amazing instead of flat.

Hear ordinary men talk honestly about all the things that suddenly change - job satisfaction, marriage, weight, travel, vision - and their thoughts on being men in midlife. Buy it here

A candid book about a taboo transition we all go through.

The conclusion from Manu Sareen on the treatments in the clinic:

I ended up going to Amager for a total of 5 treatments and the results are striking, quite literally. I don't know if you're familiar with the feeling in your body after a hard run or after you've worked out and used yourself. The body just feels stretched and supple. This is how it feels after the treatments. Harder erections, it's worth it

Key note speech at 5th Innovation shockwave conference in London

Venn Healthcare Innovation 2023 shockwave conference in London.

Did you have a morning erection today?

Sometimes you just have to have fun, so I popped that question, about 2 minutes into my keynote speech in urology

It was a delightful pleasure to present the options with shockwave and EMTT, in erectile dysfunction and Peyronies. Which elements to to put focus to, if you want successful outcomes.

But also to present one of my latest breakthroughs in non-invasive treatment of incontience. Which is really mindblowing.

I also learned a lot by all the talks during breaks and at the social dinners. Where we discussed new options with EMTT with the godfather of EMTT Ludger Gerdesmeyer.

Thankyou all participants and to Jonny, Sarah, Jenny, James, Thomas and rest of the team for making such a great event.

Gerard and Yves, see you soon in Liverpool for some good talks on how to bring shockwave and EMTT to the next level.

Benoy, Helen, stuart it was a pleasure finally meeting you.
